Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX increased by 127 points and reached to 22,746 today. It shows that Dalal Street was off to a good start. Against the US dollar, the rupee gained 2 paise to 83.43. The focused stocks included Trent, which closed higher by more than 1% after achieving a record high on Tuesday. Another is Usha Martin, which increased by more than 5%. M&M also increased by more than 4% to reach a new record high. Today, a number of companies, including Adani Enterprises, Dabur, Adani Ports, Coal India and many more will release their fourth quarter financial results.

Wipro
An Indian multinational company called Wipro Limited offers business process outsourcing, consulting, and information technology services. Nokia granted a contract to Wipro, to update its employee service desk and provide seamless, immediate IT support to a global network of employees. With over 86,700 employees spread over 130 operational countries, Nokia’s workforce will benefit from a custom cloud-based AI solution developed by the Wipro team.
Coal India
The Ministry of Coal, Government of India, is the owner of Coal India Limited, a central public sector enterprise. Coal India, the country’s biggest coal mining firm, reported producing 61.8 million metric tonnes of coal in April 2024, a 7.3% increase from 57.6 million metric tonnes in the same month the previous fiscal year. The offtake increased by 3.2% to 64.3 million metric tonnes in the same time frame from 62.3 million metric tonnes.
