Stock Market Today: The GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX down 14.5 points to 22,099, indicating that Dalal Street will likely have a quiet start to the week. Following Wall Street equities’ resurgence of all-time highs due to optimism about the US economy and Fed policy, Tokyo shares opened higher on Friday. The Topix index gained 9.21 points, or 0.33 percent, to 2,805.42, while the benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 153.77 points, or 0.38 percent, at 40,969.43 in early trading. Early Asian trading on Friday saw a decline in oil prices due to the likelihood of a Gaza ceasefire, which could reduce global supply. Additionally, the weakening of the US dollar and declining petrol prices also lowered demand.
