Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX down 5 points, or 0.03 percent, to 19,324.50, indicating that Dalal Street will open flat on Monday. On the daily chart, the Nifty created a Doji candle and a bearish pattern on the weekly timescale. According to Chandan Taparia of Motilal Oswal, weakness might be detected around 19250 then 19100 zones while barriers are set in 19420 then 19560 zones.
Rupee slips; Tokyo stocks higher
The rupee fell by one paisa to an all-time low of 83.10 versus the US dollar on Friday, driven down by a bearish trend in local stocks and foreign investment outflows.
Tokyo stocks began little higher on Monday following a lacklustre day on Wall Street, with some bargain-hunting bolstering the market.The Nikkei 225 index rose 0.28 percent, or 87.21 points, to 31,537.97 in early trade, while the wider Topix index up 0.18 percent, or 3.99 points, to 2,241.28.

Jio Financial Services
Jio Financial Services (previously Reliance Strategic Investments), a demerged subsidiary of billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries, will be listed on the markets on August 21. The exchanges stated in its circular that the scrip will be traded in the Trade-for-Trade sector for 10 trading days. Meanwhile, Jio Financial Services will stay in the FTSE Indices and will be included to the MSCI Global Standard Index on August 23.
Infosys
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue both fined the IT services firm $1124.6 and $12.28, respectively. There is no major influence on the company’s finances, operations, or other activities.
Titan Company
The jewellery-watch-to-eyewear producer has signed into a Share Purchase Agreement with its founder and his family members to purchase an additional 27.18% equity ownership in CaratLane Trading for Rs 4,621 crore in cash. CaratLane is a subsidiary of the firm, and the completion of the aforementioned share acquisition would boost the company’s stake in CaratLane from 71.09% to 98.28% on a fully diluted basis.
