Stock Market Today: The GIFT Nifty was down 10 points at 24,921, suggesting that the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 would have a muted opening today. On Tuesday, domestic markets saw erratic trading for an additional session before finishing essentially unchanged. The Nifty began the session flat and rose gradually for the most part of it, but severe profit-taking in the last few hours erased all of the gains.

Tata Consumer Products

A member of the Tata Group, Tata Consumer Products Limited is an Indian fast-moving consumer goods company. It is a significant producer of coffee and the second-largest manufacturer and distributor of tea in the world. Due to a decrease in the percentage of income from joint ventures and associates and a rise in extraordinary items, Tata Consumer Products’ net profit in Q1FY25 decreased 8.3% YoY. The company’s net profit decreased from Rs 317 crore recorded in the first quarter of FY24 to Rs 290.3 crore in the quarter under review.

Vedanta

Vedanta Limited is a multinational mining corporation based in India that primarily operates iron ore, gold, and aluminium mines located in Goa, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Odisha. One of the top producers of critical minerals, energy, and technology in the world, Vedanta Limited, has announced that 75% of its secured creditors have given the company the all-clear to file its proposed demerger scheme with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and get approval from stock exchanges.
