Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty indicates Flat start; PNB Housing, Zomato in focus

Stock Market Today: With a drop of 31.5 points, or 0.13 percent, the GIFT Nifty trends signal to a flat to negative start for the larger index in India. Around 24,686 was the trading level for the Nifty futures. Strong purchasing in the banking, finance, and automotive industries, along with a generally upward trend in global stocks, propelled the rise in Indian markets. The Nifty was up 126.10 points, or 0.51 percent, at 24,698.80, while the Sensex was up 378.18 points, or 0.47 percent, at 80,802.86.6. The largest Nifty gainers were ONGC, Bharti Airtel, Adani Enterprises, Cipla, and Apollo Hospitals; the biggest losses were SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Finance, and IndusInd Bank.

Zomato

Zomato is an international meal delivery and restaurant aggregator startup based in India. On Tuesday, Antfin Singapore Holding sold shares of Zomato for a total of Rs 4,771 crore through block agreements. Two block counts of 9.27 crore shares each were used for the stake sale, which involved the sale of about 18.54 crore shares.

PNB Housing

The National Housing Bank (NHB) has registered PNB Housing Finance Limited (PNB Housing) as an Indian housing finance company. In addition to accepting public deposits, the company’s product range includes housing loans and loans secured by real estate. Reports state that General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII Pte plans to sell 5.1% of PNB Housing Finance’s shares at a price per share of Rs 775, or 4.4% less than the current market value.
