Stock Market Today: Even if there are few global indications, the Indian frontline indices S&P BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 are set to open higher. Nikkei 225, one of the leading Asian indices, was up 82.16 points or 0.31 percent at 26317.40, while China’s Shanghai Composite was down 76 points or 0.28 percent at 3045. On this day, Hang Seng is also closed.
Nasdaq Composite and US markets
The key indices for the US markets closed Friday’s trading session in the green. S&P 500 was up 82 points or 0.59 percent at 3844.82 while the Dow 30 closed at 33203.90, up 176.44 points or 0.53 percent. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 10497.90, up 0.21 percent or 21.74 points. The disclosed data on consumer sentiment showed a trend that was better than anticipated. Alphabet saw purchasing while Tesla experienced a decline.
Tokyo shares open higher
The rise in Wall Street prices last week helped Tokyo equities begin higher on Monday, but the spread of Covid in China dampened investor fervour. The broader Topix index rose 0.33 percent, or 6.35 points, to 1904.29. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index increased by 0.49 percent, or 128.75 points, to 26364.00 in early trading.
Dollar Index
The dollar index is circling 104. During the preceding week, commodities likewise saw mixed trading, with crude oil rising by almost 7%. 84 USD are being traded for it. Silver saw a 2% increase as gold finished unchanged.
Based on company-specific news, expect stock specific action in Tata Motors, Dabur India, Wipro, United Breweries, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
