Stock Market Today: The Nifty was down 117.10 points at 19,005.10, while the Sensex was down 400 points at 63,648.07. Approximately 115 shares were unchanged, 1415 shares fell, and 578 shares increased. On October 26, Indian indices started the day lower, with Nifty at 19,000. Among the Nifty’s top gainers were Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, and HCL Technologies; losers included Tech Mahindra, Hindalco, M&M, Bajaj Finserv, and HDFC Bank.

US Treasury yields increased on Wednesday, igniting concerns that interest rates may remain higher for longer, and Alphabet shares fell following the Google parent company’s dismal earnings report. These events caused a widespread sell-off of US markets, according to Reuters. To 12,821.22, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 318.65 points, or 2.43%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 105.45 points, or 0.32%, to 33,035.93, while the S&P fell 60.91 points, or 1.43%, to 4,186.77.

Indian Overseas Bank
With immediate effect and until further orders, the Indian government has nominated Kartikeya Misra to the position of Director on the Indian Overseas Bank board, replacing Annie George Mathew. With immediate effect, Annie George Mathew is no longer a director on the bank’s board of directors.
Jubilant Foodworks
For the quarter ended September FY24, the food services company recorded a whopping 39.5 percent year-over-year loss in standalone profit at Rs 72.1 crore, which was mostly caused by a severe decline in EBITDA margin. During the same period, standalone revenue from operations increased by 4.5 percent to Rs 1,344.8 crore, mostly due to a 7.9 percent growth in Domino’s delivery channel sales.
