Stock Market Today: The S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty50 Indian leading indices are anticipated to open in line with current global trends. Markets will probably trade in a limited range. While Dow Futures were trading at 33267.20, up by 25.60 points or 0.08 percent, Singapore-based SGX Nifty futures, an early indicator of movement in the Nifty50, were trading in the red at 18064.5, down 83.5 points or 0.46 percent.
Stock Market Today: Asian benchmark indices
Asian benchmark indices were mixed, with the Nikkei 225 down 200 points, or 0.78 percent, to 26241.50, while the Shanghai Composite was up 30.01 points, or 0.98 percent, to 3095.57.
US markets ended with losses
The US stock markets lost money on Tuesday. The Nasdaq Composite was down 144 points or 1.38 percent at 10353.20 due to losses suffered by Tesla, while the S&P 500 dropped 15.57 points or 0.40 percent to 3829.25. The Dow 30 closed at 33241.60, an increase of 37.63 points or 0.11 percent.

Biggest daily gains in over seven months
Metals had the largest daily gains in over seven months, surging over 4.2% to lead the sectoral advances. The BSE smallcap gauge increased 1.46% and the midcap index increased 0.78% in the larger market.
Stock Market Today: Stocks under F&O ban on NSE
The National Stock Exchange’s F&O ban list for December 28 includes the equities of Balrampur Chini Mills, Indiabulls Housing Finance, and Punjab National Bank. Securities from firms where derivative contracts have exceeded the market-wide position limit by 95% are thus prohibited under the F&O segment.
Depending on company-specific news, expect stock-specific movement in Tata Motors, RVNL, Welspun Enterprises Ltd., Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd., India Pesticides Ltd., Electrosteel Castings, Punjab & Sind Bank, and other companies.
