Stock Market Update: The domestic stock market is witnessing pressure today amid mixed global signals. In today’s trading, both Sensex and Nifty indices are seen in red mark.
The Sensex is down by more than 50 points, while the Nifty has come down to the level of 16500. Selling is being seen in IT stocks in today’s business.
The IT index on the Nifty has lost 1 per cent. Bank, financial and pharma indices are also seen in the red mark.
However, auto, metal, FMCG and realty indices are trading in the green. At present, there is a weakness of 70 points in the Sensex and it is trading at the level of 55327. Whereas Nifty is at the level of 16500 by breaking 21 points. There is a mixed trend in heavyweight stocks.
15 stocks of Sensex 30 are in green mark and 15 are in red mark. Today’s top gainers are INDUSINDBK, ITC and BHARTIARTL. At the same time, the top losers include WIPRO, KOTAKBANK, LT and HDFCBANK.
Talking about the global cues, there is a mixed trend in the major Asian markets in today’s business. On the other hand, after the rally of Nasdaq, there has been weakness in stock futures. US markets closed stronger on Wednesday. Crude prices remain high in the international market. Brent crude is at $ 106 per barrel, while US crude is flat at $ 102 per barrel. The 10-year bond yield in the US stands at 3.017 per cent.
Today on July 21, CSB Bank and RBL Bank are going to release their quarterly results. Apart from these, IDBI Bank, Can Fin Homes, CRISIL, Cyient, GSFC, Happiest Minds, Hindustan Zinc, IndiaMART InterMESH, ICICI Securities, JSW Energy, Mphasis, Kajaria Ceramics, Persistent Systems and PVR will also report quarterly results.
Wipro’s profit declined 21 percent year-on-year to Rs 2563.6 crore. Profits fell due to a fall in operational margins. The company’s revenue grew 18 per cent year-on-year to Rs 21,528.60 crore. There was a growth of 3.2 percent on a quarterly basis. The company’s operating margin declined by 200 points to 15 per cent on a quarterly basis. It declined by 300 points on a yearly basis.
