Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: The Nifty index’s top gainers include JSW Steel, Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank and Bajaj. Where as Finance, Nestle India, Bajaj Auto, HCL Technologies, Divis Laboratories and Tata Consultancy Services are the top losses in the Nifty index. After peaking at nearly 47668.7 during the day and falling to 46579.05, the bank nifty concluded the day at approximately 47069.45. Healthcare, IT, power, and real estate all saw decreases of 0.3 to 0.6 percent. Meanwhile the Bank and Metal indices saw increases of 1% and the FMCG index of 0.5 percent. Although the smallcap index finished steady, the BSE midcap index saw a 0.4% decrease.

Today, the Nifty closes higher at 21995.85. The Nifty reaches a high of 22179.55 and a low of 21777.65 during the course of the day. After trading between 73210.17 and 71816.46, the Sensex closed 0.83% higher at 72488.99, 599.34 points above the starting price. The Nifty Midcap 50 finishes 0.67% lower, meaning the Midcap index did worse than the Nifty 50. Additionally, small cap stocks did worse than the Nifty 50. The Nifty small cap 100 ends at 16286.35, with a down of 0.1% .
