Top 5 stocks of the day: Divis Laboratories, Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors and Larsen & Toubro, Axis Bank are the top gainers on the Nifty, while SBI, HUL, Tata Motors, Cipla, and Titan Company are the top losers. All major sectors indexes ended higher, with the exception of PSU Bank (which fell 1%). The gains were seen in pharma, capital goods, metal, oil and gas, electricity, and real estate. The BSE Smallcap and Midcap indices both saw a 1% increase.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was up 181.20 points, or 0.94 percent, at 19,411.80 at the closing, while the Sensex was up 594.91 points, or 0.92 percent, at 64,958.69. A little over 2378 shares rose, 1285 shares fell, and 164 shares remained constant. On November 6, benchmark indices closed higher for the third straight day, with Nifty closing above 19,400.

JK Cement reported a profit of Rs 178.1 crore

Driven by strong operating performance, JK Cement reported a consolidated profit of Rs 178.1 crore for the quarter that ended in September of FY24, up 58.5% from the same period last year. Compared to the same period last year, the total revenue from operations increased by 23% to Rs 2,753 crore.
