Top 5 stocks of the day: Eicher Motors, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, BPCL, and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers on the Nifty, while HDFC Life, Britannia Industries, Wipro, Sun Pharma, and Titan Company are among the top losers. With the exception of Nifty Pharma and Media, all other sectors indices finished in the green. Among the broader indices, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap both surged 1% to test new highs.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Sensex closed up 1383.93 points, or 2.05 percent, at 68,865.12, while the Nifty closed up 418.9 points, or 2.07 percent, at 20,686.80. On December 4, benchmark indices set new highs, with the Nifty closing above 20,650.

Artefact Projects received project from National Highway Authority of India

The National Highway Authority of India has awarded Artefact Projects a contract for advisory services as independent engineering for a four-lane road contract on HAM under the Bharatmala Pariyojna in Andra Pradesh. NHAI has awarded the company a Letter of Award for the aforementioned project. The project’s fees are set at Rs 5.40 crore. BlackRock Inc. purchased 24.73 lakh equity shares in Suzlon Energy through open market transactions on November 30, increasing its position in the firm to 5.01% from 4.99% previously.
