Top 5 stocks of the day: Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, TCS, SBI Life Insurance, and M&M were among the Nifty’s biggest decliners, while Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, Coal India, BPCL, and Hero MotoCorp were among its biggest gainers. Real estate index increased by 2%, while information technology, the auto industry, and the bank sector all saw declines of 0.8–1 %. Both the BSE midcap and smallcap indices finished with slight losses.

On March 2, benchmark indices finished lower with a loss of about 17,300 points due to selling in all sectors besides real estate, power, and oil & gas. The Nifty was down 129 points or 0.74% at 17,321.90 at close, and the Sensex was down 501.73 points or 0.84% at 58,909.35. Approximately 141 shares are unchanged, 1824 shares are down, and 1540 shares are up.

On Thursday, gold prices were expected to end their three-session winning streak due to a stronger dollar and the continuing uncertainty surrounding potential future interest rate increases from the U.S. Federal Reserve. As of 0845 GMT, spot gold was down 0.2% at $1,832.60 per ounce after reaching a one-week high the previous session. Futures for U.S. gold decreased 0.4% to $1,838.30.

Sunteck Realty signs exclusive lease deal with Upgrad

Upgrad Education has a 29-year lease on 2 lakh built-up square feet of Sunteck Realty’s upscale commercial building Sunteck BKC51.

Upgrade will begin paying monthly starting rent based on carpet area that is roughly Rs 300 per square foot. Over the course of the lease, the project will produce close to Rs 2,000 crore in total revenue.
