Top 5 stocks of the day: PNB Housing Finance gains for sixth session
PNB Housing Finance’s stock increased for a sixth consecutive session, rising by more than 7%. A rights offer of approximately 9.06 crore shares at a price of Rs 275 per share has been approved by the board of PNB Housing Finance to raise up to Rs 2,500 crore. The board adopted a right entitlement ratio of 29:54, meaning that for every 54 units held by an eligible equity shareholder as of the record date, 29 equity shares will be offered. The article first debuted on April 13 and will end on April 27.
LIC raises shareholding in L&T Technology to over 5%
Through open market transactions, Life Insurance Corporation of India added 21,367 equity shares, or 0.02 percent of L&T Technology Services. As a result, LIC’s ownership of L&T Technology rose from 4.988 percent to 5.008 percent. The BSE quoted L&T Technology Services at Rs 3,402.70, down Rs 30.90 or 0.90 percent.

Welspun India’s stock rose 4% in early trading on April 25 after the firm announced that its upcoming board meeting would discuss a share repurchase plan.
The Board of Directors will, among other things, discuss a share buyback programme and a dividend recommendation for the year ended March 31, 2023 at its meeting on April 27 in addition to financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2023, the firm informed exchanges.
