Top 5 stocks of the day: Among the top gainers on the Nifty are Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Titan Company, IndusInd Bank, and Tata Consumer Products, while losers on the index included HUL, ONGC, Coal India, Bharti Airtel, and Asian Paints. All of the sectors indexes finished in the green, with the real estate index rising by 3% and the information technology, FMCG, metal, auto, and healthcare indices rising by 0.4 to 1%.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was up 107.70 points or 0.55 percent at 19,653.50 at closure, and the Sensex was up 364.06 points or 0.55 percent at 65,995.63. 1291 shares fell, 2229 increased, and 156 remained constant. On October 6, benchmark indices ended the session higher for the second straight session, with Nifty hovering around 19,650. With the BSE midcap and smallcap indices climbing 0.5 percent each, broader indices behaved similarly to the major indices.

Tata Motors Reports Q2
With Jaguar Land Rover included, Tata Motors Group’s global wholesales in Q2 FY24 totaled 342,376 units, an increase of 7% from Q2 FY23. Wholesale sales of commercial vehicles increased by 3% to 106,620 units in Q2 FY23. In Q2 FY24, Tata Motors sold 138,939 passenger vehicles at wholesale, a 3% decrease from Q2 FY23. 96,817 vehicles were wholesaled globally by Jaguar Land Rover in the third quarter, a 29% increase. 13,560 vehicles were wholesaled by Jaguar, and 83,257 by Land Rover.
