Top 5 stocks of the day: Coal India, L&T, IndusInd Bank, SBI Life Insurance and State Bank of India are among the top gainers while Tata Consumer Products, M&M, Britannia Industries, Sun Pharma, and Infosys are among the top losers. Except for FMCG and pharma, all other sector indexes are trading in the green, with gains of 1-2 percent in the banking, capital goods, PSU banking, power, and real estate sectors.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was up 116.00 points or 0.59 percent at 19,727 at closure, and the Sensex was up 385.04 points or 0.58 percent at 66,265.56. Approximately 124 shares were unchanged, 1420 shares fell, and 2140 advanced. On September 7, benchmark indices increased for a fifth straight session, with the Nifty closing above 19,700. The BSE smallcap index increased 0.4 percent, while the midcap index increased 0.8 percent.

Shares of Hitachi Energy India Ltd jumped
After the business announced in a notice to exchanges that it had been awarded a contract by Ayana Renewable Power to supply a grid connection solution for its future 300 megawatt solar photovoltaic power project in Rajasthan, shares of Hitachi Energy India Ltd increased by close to 4 percent.
