Top 5 stocks of the day: On the Nifty, some of the top gainers included Coal India, Grasim Industries, Tata Consumer Products, Bharti Airtel and Titan Company, while some of the biggest losers included HDFC Life, Jio Financial, L&T, M&M, and Adani Ports. Oil and gas, capital goods, and information technology indexes all ended on a down note, although the metal and oil & gas sectors saw gains of 1% and 4%, respectively.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was up 76.80 points or 0.38 percent at 20,070 at closure, while the Sensex was up 245.86 points or 0.37 percent at 67,466.99. Approximately 126 shares were unchanged, 2113 were up, and 1427 were down. On September 13, benchmark indices finished higher, with Nifty hovering around 20,050. From the day’s low, the BSE midcap index rapidly recovered and finished level.

Coal India stock edges up on Rs 24,750
The stock of Coal India Limited lost over 3 percent the day before, while shares of the company increased on September 13. The company’s intentions to invest almost Rs 24,750 crore in 61 First Mile Connectivity (FMC) projects over the coming two years to advance environmentally friendly coal transportation are what led to the share price increase on Wednesday. A combined capacity of 763.5 million tonnes per year (MTPA) will be available from the three phases of the projects once they are finished.
