Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: On the Nifty, the top gainers are Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank, and BPCL; the top losers are Infosys, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, SBI Life Insurance, HUL, and Wipro. On the sectoral front, there was a mixed trend, with the BSE auto and oil & petrol indices rising 1% each, the BSE Capital Goods index down 1%, and the BSE IT index down 0.5 percent. With BSE Midcap, broader indices performed better than the main indices.

The Nifty was up 28.50 points, or 0.13 percent, at 21,647.20 at the close, while the Sensex was up 63.47 points, or 0.09 percent, at 71,721.18. Shares of Shiva Cement soared 18.5 percent

In response to news that its parent company, JSW Cement, was planning a massive Rs 6,000-crore IPO, shares of Shiva Cement surged 18.5 percent on January 11. The JSW Group has enlisted investment bankers to help with the initial public offering of its group company, JSW Cement. This was first reported by Moneycontrol on January 10, citing a number of sources. “As of now, the target is to raise up to Rs 6,000 crore, mop up growth capital and fund the company’s aggressive expansion plans,” a source close to the matter stated. A final determination regarding the amount of shares to be sold has not yet been made, according to the source.
