Top 5 stocks of the day: Hero MotoCorp, Wipro, Grasim Industries, UltraTech Cement, and Reliance are the biggest gainers on the Nifty, while HCL Technologies, Adani Ports, SBI, Coal India, and TCS are the biggest losers. On October 11, benchmark indexes finished higher for the second straight day, with the Nifty closing over 19,800, backed by buying across all sectors except PSU banks.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Sensex finished the day up 393.69 points, or 0.60 percent, at 66,473.05 and the Nifty finished up 121.50 points, or 0.62 percent, at 19,811.30. Approximately 2275 shares rose, 1283 fell, and 132 were unchanged. Except for PSU Bank, all other sectoral indices finished in the green, with auto, FMCG, metal, pharma, power, oil & gas, and realty all up 0.5-1 percent. The BSE midcap index gained 0.5 percent, while the BSE smallcap index gained 0.7 percent.
