European stock markets steady
Europe’s major stock markets were steady at the start of trade on Friday, as investors awaited the US Federal Reserve’s critical interest-rate decision next week.
The benchmark FTSE 100 index in London increased 0.1 percent to 7,608.13 points. In the eurozone, the DAX index in Frankfurt dipped 0.1 percent to 15,976.67 points, while the CAC 40 in Paris gained 0.1 percent to 7,225.90.
