Top 5 stocks of the day: Larsen & Toubro, Bharti Airtel, ONGC, Coal India and Power Grid Corporation are the top gainers on the Nifty. Gainers are outnumbered by losers as around 1,524 shares increased, 2,007 declined, and 136 were unchanged. The September F&O series came to an end with the conclusion of today’s session. The Nifty recovered its losses from the prior F&O series and finished 1.5% higher than the prior series. While the midcap index continued to excel with gains of almost 3% through the September F&O series, the Nifty bank also increased by almost 1%.

As the day went on, benchmark indices continued to experience widespread losses in the market. The Nifty was down 193.00 points or 0.98 percent at 19,523.50 at closure, and the Sensex was down 610.37 points or 0.92 percent at 65,508.32.

Vodafone Idea shares fell by around 3 percent
Following the publication of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) monthly subscription figures for July, which showed a loss of 13.2 lakh members for the company, Vodafone Idea shares fell by around 3 percent in the morning trade on September 28. According to the TRAI report for June, Vodafone Idea has lost 12.9 lakh members. According to the most recent statistics for July, the company’s market share in the wireless subscribers category is at 19.92%.
