On the other hand the list of the top losers include Sun Pharma, BPCL, Reliance Industries, M&M, and Hindalco Industries. Sector-wise, FMCG, power, IT, and others are up by 0.4 to 2%. While healthcare, metal, oil & gas, and energy are down by 0.3 to 0.8%. The BSE smallcap index increased by 1% and the midcap index by 0.5 percent.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was up by 31.60 points which made it to reach at 22,368 at the closing. However, the Sensex was up by 89.83 points and reached at 73,738.45. Approximately 1450 shares fell, 109 shares remained steady today. Meanwhile 2224 shares advanced in today’s stock market. On April 23, Indian market indices concluded the day higher for the third consecutive session, with Nifty closing at 22,350.
A day after Vodafone Idea’s follow-on public offer (FPO) ended with 6.36 times subscription and investors bidding for 8,011.8 crore equity shares, the company’s shares surged 12 percent. As part of a bigger plan to raise Rs 45,000 crore, the nation’s third-biggest telecom operator made the highest offering of 1,260 crore shares in the Rs 18,000 crore FPO.
