Top 5 stocks of the day: The top losers are Apollo Hospitals, HDFC Life, Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, and Eicher Motors; the top winners are HDFC Life, UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Auto, SBI Life Insurance and Axis Bank. With the exception of metal, every sectoral index saw a decline of one percent, including capital goods, power, oil & gas, and real estate. The BSE smallcap index dropped 0.2 percent, while the midcap index dropped 0.4 percent.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was down 90.70 points, or 0.43 percent, at 20,906.40, and the Sensex was down 377.50 points, or 0.54 percent, at 69,551.03 at the close. Approximately 1822 shares decreased, 83 shares remained unchanged, and 1424 shares advanced. In the tumultuous session on December 12, Indian equity indices concluded lower, with Nifty closing at 20,900.

Tata Motors’ commitment to sustainability and innovation
