The market bounces back, closing Samvat 2079 at its highest point of the day. The Nifty finished with gains of 30.00 points, or 0.15 percent, at 19,425.30, while the Sensex settled 72.48 points, or 0.11 percent, higher at 64,904.68.

India’s direct tax increased by 21.8%
India’s direct tax receipts, net of refunds, increased by 21.8% from the previous year to Rs10.6 trillion, according to an email statement from the Central Board of Direct Taxes. This tax revenue accounted for 58.2% of the FY24 projected total budget.The corporate income tax and personal income tax saw increases in gross collections of 7.1% and 28.3%, respectively.1.77 trillion rupees in refunds were given out between April 1 and November 9, according to Bloomberg.
