Top 5 Stocks Of The Day: On the Nifty, the biggest gainers are ONGC, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Tech Mahindra, and SBI Life Insurance; the top losers are IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Divis Lab, and Adani Ports. With the exception of electricity, auto, capital goods, FMCG, metal, oil & gas, and information technology, all sectoral indices finished the day higher by one to two percent. Each of the BSE Smallcap and Midcap indices gained 1%.

Sensex and NSE Nifty50

The Nifty was up 160.10 points, or 0.75 percent, at 21,622.40 at the closing, while the Sensex was up 496.37 points, or 0.70 percent, at 71,683.23. A little over 2183 shares rose, 1043 shares fell, and 62 shares remained constant. On January 19, benchmark indexes saw gains, with the Nifty closing above 21,600.

Epack Durable subscribes 46 percent

On the first day of bidding, January 19, investors purchased 91.19 lakh equity shares against the offer size of 1.99 crore, resulting in a 46% subscription rate for the Rs 640 crore IPO of Epack Durable. Seventy-eight percent of the shares reserved for retail investors were bid on. High net worth people who are not institutional investors selected 29% of their allowed quota, whereas institutional buyers who meet the requirements purchased 0.08 percent of their share allocation.
