All sectors indices save for real estate finished in the negative, with auto, bank, and healthcare down between 0.3 and 0.6 percent.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The Nifty was down 61.30 points, or 0.32 percent, at 19,079.60 at the closing, while the Sensex was down 237.72 points, or 0.37 percent, at 63,874.93. A little over 1830 shares rose, 1675 shares fell, and 117 shares remained constant. In the tumultuous session on October 31, benchmark indices concluded lower, with Nifty closing below 19,100. The smallcap index was unchanged, but the BSE midcap index increased by 0.3 percent.

Britannia Industries expected net profit up by 11%
Even with a modest increase in revenue, Britannia Industries is expected to report Q2FY24 net profit up 11% year over year, driven mostly by benign material costs. Averaging four brokerage forecasts, Britannia Industries’ fiscal second quarter net profit is anticipated to reach Rs 549 crore. The FMCG, dairy, and cookie company is anticipated to announce revenue for the July-September quarter of Rs 4,474 crore, up less than 1% from the same period last year. Sequentially, net profit is anticipated to grow by 19.5%, while quarterly revenue growth is probably going to be closer to 10.1%.
