Polycab India Ltd shares jumped more than 2% on June 27 morning after Jefferies confirmed its “buy” rating on the business, citing good capex play and strong market leadership.
Jefferies has a base case target price of Rs 4,270 on the stock. It anticipates that revenue from the cables and wires category will expand at a 15% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) between FY23 and FY26e, owing mostly to capex revival, infrastructure development, and the housing sector upcycle in India.

ICICI Prudential Life gets show cause cum demand notice from DGGI
The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) issued a show cause cum demand notice (SCN) to ICICI Prudential Life Insurance for failing to pay tax of Rs 492.06 crore from July 2017 to July 2022.
The matter primarily concerned an industry-wide issue of input tax credit, and the company believes it has obtained qualifying input GST credit in accordance with the terms of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and other applicable legislation.
