Top 5 stocks of the day: Nifty and Sensex
Indian shares erased early gains on Friday as investors booked gains on recent gains, while overnight data showing a continued tight US labor market dampened hopes for a tax cut this year.
The Nifty is heading for a fourth consecutive loss and is down 1.26% this week, poised for its first weekly loss in four. Around the start of the earnings season, it rallied nearly 4% over the past 19 sessions, helped by some strong reports and continued buying by foreign institutional investors (FIIs).
