Warren Buffett: The $4.64 billion worth of Berkshire Hathaway shares that the renowned billionaire investor Warren Buffett contributed to five charities, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, brought his total stock donation to more than $51 billion. The donation represents a portion of Buffett’s yearly stock sale from his investment company Berkshire Hathaway. This was his greatest annual gift, consisting of roughly 13.7 million class B shares of Berkshire.

Warren Buffett, a well-known investor who is 92 years old, is renowned for his shrewd and opportunistic trading. His company, Berkway Hathaway, has invested in a number of well-known Wall Street businesses, from established to up-and-coming digital titans. According to Forbes’ rating, Buffett is presently ranked sixth among the world’s wealthiest persons, having amassed a staggering $117.3 billion in wealth. He serves as the company’s CEO and chairman. He gained notoriety as the “Oracle of Omaha” for his expertise in investing. Over 99% of his money will be donated, he has promised. He has already given up nearly $51 billion in stocks, largely to the Gates foundation and his Kids’ foundation, in order to make good on that commitment. It’s interesting to note that he had invested on Wall Street after turning 51 to obtain the majority of his riches.

Strengthening Philanthropic Partnerships and Global Impact
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is expected to receive more than 10.45 million shares from his most recent yearly donation, adding up to almost $39 billion in total shares of Berkshire stock. He is also giving 1.05 million shares to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation in addition to that. Bill Gates, the creator of Microsoft, and Warren Buffett, the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, are close friends. When they are not busy, the pair can be spotted enjoying time together. Buffett gave a significant chunk of his Berkshire Hathaway stock to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, a partnership between Bill Gates and his former wife with the goal of eradicating hunger, poverty, sickness, and injustice globally.
