Maruti Suzuki Jimny

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door has been seen testing frequently in India and is expected to debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. The automobile will have a longer wheelbase than the version marketed internationally because it is a 5-door version. The SUV’s exterior will only slightly change as a result, though. This version will premiere in India before being introduced to the global market. In terms of the engine, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is anticipated to be powered by a 1.5-litre engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with the choice of a 6-speed AT.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door

One of the most anticipated SUVs in India is the Mahindra Thar 5-door. After numerous sightings and spy photos, the SUV is finally about to go on sale in India. Although it has not yet been confirmed, rumours suggest that the SUV will debut on January 26. The SUV will maintain the appearance of the 3-door variant while being larger, according to spy photos. The same 2.2-litre mHawk engine is anticipated, with the choice of a 2.0-litre mStallion engine. To make up for the larger size, the engines are anticipated to be tweaked to deliver higher power.

BMW 7 Series and BMW i7

BMW has improved greatly with the release of the 7-Series sedan, its most sumptuous model. To compete with vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Audi A8L, it has developed a high-end, cutting-edge automobile. The seventh-generation BMW 7-Series has a sportier exterior than the previous model, beginning with the revised split headlights. On the roof of the luxurious 7-Series car is a 31.3-inch, 8K cinema screen. For its top-of-the-line 7 Series sedan, BMW will offer three different engine options: a powerful 543 bhp, 4.4 L twin-turbo V8 engine (M760i), and a 299 bhp, 3.0 L inline-six diesel (730d).

There will also be sales of the new BMW i7, which is essentially an all-electric version of the 7-Series. The BMW i7 will be powered by a 101.7kWh battery, giving it a WLTP range of 590–625 kilometres on a single charge.

Citroen eC3

The debut of the Citroen C3 EV, the French automaker’s first EV, will signal its entry into the Indian EV market. With more features than the ICE version, it will be a compact electric hatchback based on the C3. It might have a 50kWh battery pack and a 350km range, 136PS, and 260Nm electric motor. A smaller battery pack with a 300-kilometre range could be an additional option for the electric hatchback. Once it becomes available, it will face competition from the Tata Tiago EV, Tata Tigor EV, and the planned Tata Punch EV.

Mahindra XUV400 EV

Mahindra recently announced the Mahindra XUV400 in an effort to increase its market share for electric vehicles. Although the car has already been unveiled, the price of the model has not yet been disclosed. The carmaker will reveal the price of the model in January 2023 based on the information now available. A 39.4 kWh battery pack will be used to power the vehicle, giving it a 456 km range. When it debuts, the EV will face competition from vehicles like the MG ZS EV and Tata Nexon EV, among others.
