The fight between the Kejriwal government of Delhi and the LG seems to be increasing. The Kejriwal government alleged that the posters of PM Modi are being forcibly put up in the program of the Delhi government.
Also said that Delhi Police put up posters to PM Modi before the program and said that if this photo is removed then action will be taken. There was a ‘Van Mahotsav’ program of the Delhi government, in which both CM Kejriwal and LG were to come.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said, ‘We don’t want quarrel, the government program was made political. That’s why both CM and I are not going. The police was sent on Saturday night at the official event of Delhi government. This police has been sent on the instructions of the PMO. The police took possession of the stage and instead of the banner of the program, a banner with the photo of PM Modi was put up and said that if it is removed, action will be taken.’
Lieutenant Governor Expresses Grief
Van Mahotsav was going on in Delhi from July 11, under which tree plantation was being done in Delhi. Today was the conclusion of Van Mahotsav. On this occasion, a program was organized in Asola Bhati, in which both the LG-CMs were to attend.
Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena expressed grief over the Chief Minister not reaching the program. He said during the Van Mahotsav program, ‘For some reason he could not come. It would have been better if he had come.’
Before this, the Kejriwal government and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi have come face to face many times on many issues. Recently, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has already recommended a CBI inquiry into the alleged violation of rules and procedural lapses related to the Excise Policy 2021-22 of the Kejriwal government. The Lt Governor had recommended a CBI probe on the basis of a report by the Chief Secretary.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is the minister in charge of the Excise Department of the Delhi Government. To this, Arvind Kejriwal defended Sisodia and claimed that he could be arrested in a “fake” case.
