The Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, Aug. 23, 2020 has launched ie, Long March-2D carrier rocket, carrying the Gaofen-9 05 satellite. China successfully launches a new optical remote-sensing satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 10:27 a.m. on Sunday in Beijing Time. A multifunctional test satellite and other satellite named Tiantuo-5 were also launched through the rocket.

The Gaofen-9 05 satellite, was sent into orbit by a Long March-2D carrier rocket.
The Gaofen-9 05 has a resolution up to the sub-meter level. It will be mainly used for survey of land, city planning, land right confirmation, network design of road, crop yielding, value judgement and disaster prevention and diminishment.
It will also supply data for the Road and Belt construction.
A multifunctional test satellite and other satellite named Tiantuo-5 were also launched through the rocket.
The multifunctional test satellite was refined by the Academy of Military Sciences and will test and confirm technologies such as communication, navigation and remote sensing in orbit.
Sunday’s launch was the 343rd mission of the Long March rocket series.
