Delhi Covid-19 Update: Once again in the capital of the country, cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly. In Delhi, the cases of corona infection have crossed the 1,000 mark in 24 hours. During this, 1,118 new cases of corona were registered in the capital.
Along with this, two people have also died due to infection. With the latest figures, now the number of active cases in Delhi has increased to 3,177. This is the fifth consecutive day when more than 600 cases have been registered in Delhi in a day. There is also a jump in the positivity rate in Delhi. The positivity rate has reached 6.50 percent. Earlier on May 10, more than a thousand cases (1,118) were registered in the national capital, in which the positivity rate was 4.38 percent and one person died.
The department said in its latest bulletin that with the new cases reported on Tuesday, the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi increased to 19,14,530. At the same time, the death toll has increased to 26,223. On Monday, 614 new cases were reported in Delhi. During this the positivity rate was 7.06 percent. At the same time, its positivity rate was 4.35 percent on Sunday and 4.11 percent on Saturday. In the last 24 hours, 6,594 cases of corona have been reported across the country. This is less than the 8,084 cases reported till Monday morning. Active cases are now 50,548, while 195.35 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far. The recovery rate is now 98.67 percent. At the same time, the daily positivity rate is 2.05 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 2.32 percent.
