Delhi University’s (DU) St. Stephen’s College has said that admission to minority institution will be on the basis of 85 per cent of CUET marks and 15 per cent of interview marks for all categories of applicants as directed by the university. In an admission notice posted on its website on Tuesday, the college also said that it reserves the right to proceed with admission as per its admission policy guaranteed as a minority institution.
The college reserves 50% of its seats for general candidates and the rest for Christian students. While for minority seats it should conduct interview and give 85% marks to CUET and rest for interview.
A DU official said that they are trying to resolve the issue with the college. “We are aware of the notification. We are trying to resolve this issue. We have time to reach that stage as currently only registration for CUET is going on. We will resolve this issue.”
The college also said that it will launch its undergraduate admission portal and candidates seeking admission in the college should apply through it along with registering for CUET. The college will decide the number of applicants under all categories, who will be shortlisted on the basis of CUET score and will be called for interview.
