Electric cars under 15 lakh: From Tata PUNCH EV to MG AIR EV, here are some much anticipated electric vehicles that will debut in 2023

Electric car under 15 lakh: The Indian automotive industry is gearing up to provide more reasonably priced electric vehicles (EVs). In this article, we will discuss the top three electric automobiles that will be released in 2023 and would have a price of less than Rs 15 lakh.

Tata Motors plans to release an electric version of the Punch SUV.

The electric version of the C3 hatchback will make its debut on the Indian market in January of 2023, thanks to Citroen.

The MG Air 2-Door will be the first electric vehicle to be displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo.

The cost of electric automobiles is currently higher than the cost of gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles. In spite of this, there was a significant amount of demand for electric vehicles in 2022. During this time, Tata Motors has maintained its position as the market leader in the passenger electric car class, with a share of over 80 percent. In the following weeks and months, the Indian market will see the introduction of a number of brand-new electric vehicles.

Tata Punch EV

After introducing the Tiago EV, Tata Motors is currently anticipating the holiday season until 2023 to launch the Punch SUV. Will release an electric version of the product. It is expected to make its premiere at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, according to recent reports. In the same vein, its production is anticipated to get underway around the month of June. The Gen 2 (SIGMA) platform will serve as the basis for the design of this Electric Mini SUV. It is anticipated that there will be two different battery pack alternatives available. One of these will have a capacity of 30.2 kWh, while the other will have 26 kWh. It is anticipated that the price range for the Tata Punch EV will be anywhere between Rs 10 Lakh and Rs 14 Lakh (ex-showroom).

CITROEN C3 Electric

Citroen has announced that the all-electric version of the C3 hatchback would make its appearance on the Indian market in January 2023. It will be known as the Citroen eC3 when it is released. The new electric hatchback is styled quite similarly to the gasoline-powered version. It will have amenities such as an infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen and wireless connectivity, a digital instrument dashboard, powered outside rearview mirrors, and a driver seat that is height adjustable.

The use of LFP cells, which stand for lithium iron phosphate, has been validated by the manufacturer for the forthcoming eC3 model. There will be a battery pack with a capacity of 30.2 kWh and an electric motor that is fitted to the front axle. It will have a maximum power output of 84 horsepower and 143 Nm of peak torque. It is expected that a single charge will get it anywhere between 200 and 250 kilometres in range. The forthcoming Tata Punch electric vehicle is anticipated to have a pricing range of between 11 and 15 Lakh Indian Rupees (ex-showroom).

MG AIR EV

The MG Air 2-Door electric car is scheduled to make its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in India. On the Indian market, it will be the electric car manufacturer’s most compact offering. It will be available for less than 15 lakhs of rupees. The beginning of manufacturing is planned for March of 2023 at the earliest. Between 20 kWh and 25 kWh is the battery pack capacity that can be found in EVs. It will have a power output of 40 horsepower and an electric range of around 150 kilometres.
