Electrik01 EV Bike: It is well known that Royal Enfield intends to introduce an electric motorcycle in the future and that the company has already started developing one. The Royal Enfield Electrik01 concept motorcycle resembles more of a design study that illustrates the possible course the company could take with its electric motorcycle.
CEO of Royal Enfield, Mr. Govindarajan said that they are closely monitoring the EV market
Here are some statements made by Mr. Govindarajan, the CEO of Royal Enfield
“We have made investments in the EV market over the last six to eight months in terms of building physical infrastructure for car testing and related readiness. For our technological centres in India and the UK, we have also been hiring qualified individuals. Overall, we have been paying close attention to the EV market. “
He continued by saying that, “Being the first company to manufacture motorcycles, it is simple for us to take the components, put them together, and introduce the product to the market. But before launching new products, we’d like to fully comprehend the needs of the buyers in this market. Because Royal Enfield is renowned for providing more than simply products. It also offers motorcycle experiences. Our goal is to release distinctive product lines for the EV market.”
Mr. Govindarajan said that, “We’re at least two to three years away from a fully operating Royal Enfield electric motorcycle.”
Clearly, a fully functional Royal Enfield electric motorcycle is at least 2-3 years away. What is certain is that the bike will be enjoyable to ride, gorgeous to look at, and maintain the fundamental principles of a Royal Enfield – accessibility and individuality.
