Rahul Gandhi is starting ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Wednesday to unite the Congress before the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and to infuse new enthusiasm among the party workers. The journey starts from Kanyakumari and will end at Kashmir. Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ lasting 150 days will pass through 12 states of the country and will cover a distance of 3570 km.
Along with Rahul Gandhi, Congress leaders and about 300 people associated with civil society will be involved in the padyatra. Congress had already made it clear that Rahul Gandhi will not stay in any hotel during the visit. There will be no travel through a five star hotel and Rahul Gandhi will complete this entire journey in a simple way. In such a situation, the question arises that where and how will Rahul Gandhi stay for five months during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
During the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ of 3570 km, Rahul Gandhi’s home will be a container, which will be on the move. They will stay in this container for 150 days. For sleeping, AC has been installed in beds, toilets and some. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the temperature and heat will have increased in many areas, in the 3570 km journey, there are many areas where there will be severe heat and humidity. Therefore, AC has been arranged in the container. Apart from this, mattresses and toilets have also been made to sleep in the container itself.
Rahul Gandhi is trying to connect with common people by making ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. That is why want to complete this journey in a simple way away from the glare. Obviously Rahul Gandhi calls it a yatra, but political analysts consider it a preparation for 2024. In such a situation, instead of staying in any hotel, Rahul Gandhi will stay in the container which has been converted into a shelter and will eat food with party leaders in the tent.
Every day a new village will be settled by container, where Rahul Gandhi and his accompanying passengers will stay during the 3570 km Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. For this, about 60 containers have been prepared as shelters, which have been kept on trucks. All these containers will not be carried along during the Rahul Yatra, but will be delivered to the people involved in the journey at the designated place at the end of the day.
All these containers will be erected in a new place everyday in the shape of a village for night rest. Rahul Gandhi will sleep in a separate container for security reasons while most of the other containers can sleep 12 people. In the same container village, all the passengers will also eat food with Rahul Gandhi in a tent, the full-time traveler who stays with Rahul Gandhi will eat together and stay around.
In the Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress, most of the people will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari itself. This journey will last for 5 months. Therefore, all the leaders going on the Yatra have been told that laundry facilities will be available only once in 3 days. This journey will run for 22-23 kilometers in a day. This journey will start every day in the first half of the day at 7 am and will continue till 10 am. After this, after a few hours of rest, the journey will start at 3:30 in the second half and will continue till 7 in the evening.
