A dangerous conspiracy has been hatched to blow up the Udaipur-Ahmedabad broad gauge railway line with explosives. The miscreants tried to blow up the Oda bridge in front of Kevada forest in Udaipur district. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated this line 13 days ago.
According to media reports, the case pertains to the Odha railway bridge in Kevde ki Nal on the Salumber road, about 35 km from Udaipur. Locals heard the sound of the blast around 10 pm on Saturday night. Immediately after this, some people immediately reached the tracks and were shocked to see the condition there. There was gunpowder lying on the railway line. Along with this, the iron tracks were broken at many places. Nut-bolts were also found missing from the line on the bridge. After which he informed the police. The train had passed through this track for about four hours after the blast. On the information, vehicles have been stopped from coming on the railway track.
Investigation started from terrorist angle
The Anti-Terrorist Squad of Rajasthan Police has reached the spot and is investigating. ATS is probing the angle of terrorist conspiracy. According to District Collector Tarachand Meena, a conspiracy to blow up the bridge with detonators has come to light. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has instructed Director General of Police Umesh Mishra for a detailed investigation.
Police officials say that the blast has been done with full planning. The detonator used for the blast is of the Super 90 category. Bomb squad and forensic team have collected evidence from the spot.
The Udaipur-Ahmedabad railway track was earlier a meter gauge that is a short line. It was removed and converted to broad gauge. On 31 October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this railway line by flagging off the train from Asarwa station in Ahmedabad. Even on his Mangarh visit to Banswara, Prime Minister Modi had mentioned about this railway line. He had said that this line would give impetus to industrial development in the area. With this, it will be easy for the people of Udaipur and its adjoining districts to travel to Gujarat.

Regarding the blowing up of railway tracks in Udaipur, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaish said that all those who do such work will be caught and punished. Teams of ATS, Railways and NIA are investigating. As soon as the investigation is completed, the railway track will be fixed within three hours. Passengers will not have any problem.
