Volkswagen Scout: As per an article by Autocar India, Later this year, Volkswagen will unveil its first SUV sold under the Scout name. This development is corroborated by a teaser video that Scout posted. Since the 1980 model retirement of the International Harvester, the original SUV’s manufacturer, the name “Scout” has lain dormant.
The revived Scout SUV brand will first be introduced in North America before expanding to other international markets. The company previously declared that two 4WD EVs will be included in its initial lineup of goods.

International Harvester, a company that has historically produced farm and commercial vehicles for the North American market, was the one that initially constructed the Scout SUV. Produced as the company’s first passenger model, the SUV was also offered as a pickup from 1961 to 1980. Ford’s 1965 Bronco and the Jeep CJ were two of the Scout’s main competitors.
A teaser film features vintage Scout pickups and SUVs together with various shots of rural areas, mostly in the United States. Sometime this year, we anticipate the first set of prototypes to be unveiled.
