Tata: 2024 will see a number of new debuts from Tata Motors that are sure to excite the Indian car industry. With the revolutionary Curvv SUV, the Harrier EV’s electric capability, the performance-focused Altroz Racer, the groundbreaking Nexon iCNG, and the automatic Tiago & Tigor iCNG models, Tata will soon completely revolutionise driving experiences in a variety of market categories. Tata Motors to launch these cars this year
Tata Nexon iCNG
Recently, at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show, the Tata Nexon iCNG—an automobile driven by compressed natural gas—was on display. With a turbo-petrol engine, it is the first CNG car in India.
With its 60-litre CNG tank, the Nexon iCNG offers roughly 230 litres of useful trunk space. Along with a direct start CNG function, it also features a single sophisticated ECU.
From Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), is the starting pricing for the Nexon iCNG.
Tata Harrier EV
An electric SUV called the Tata Harrier EV is scheduled to go on sale in India in June 2024. It is anticipated to start at Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) and seat five people.
The 10.25-inch touchscreen screen, completely digital colour instrument cluster, electric parking brake with auto-hold, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, drive mode option, and new gear dial are all anticipated features of the Harrier EV. In addition, a 500 km range and five stars of safety are anticipated.
Tata Altroz Racer
The hatchback Tata Altroz Racer is scheduled to go on sale in India in March 2024.
It is anticipated to include a powerful engine and aggressive styling upgrades. In the hot hatch class, the Racer will face off against the Hyundai i20 N-Line.
It is probably going to cost more than the standard version, which ranges from Rs. 6.60 to Rs. 10.74 lakh.
Along with other new features, the Altroz Racer will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay. It will sport alloy wheels, disc brakes, rear drum brakes, an all-black finish, and body colour accents.
Tata Curvv
In April 2024, the Tata Curvv, a compact SUV, is scheduled to go on sale in India. By the end of 2024, it will be offered in both ICE and EV variants.
The Curvv measures 4308 mm in length, 1810 mm in width, 1630 mm in height, and has a 2560 mm wheelbase. It has a 422-litre boot and will be offered with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that generates 115 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Competing models in India’s market include the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, and MG Hector. The Curvv is priced between ₹ 15.00 and ₹ 20.00 Lakh.
Tata Tiago ad Tigor iCNG AMT
Both the Tata Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT are automatic manual gearbox (AMT)-equipped CNG vehicles. There are three variations available for the Tiago iCNG AMT and two for the Tigor iCNG AMT:
Tiago iCNG AMT
Priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 8.89 lakh, it is offered in XTA, XZA+, and XZA+ DT versions.
Tigor iCNG AMT Costs between Rs 8.84 lakh and Rs 9.54 lakh; available in XZA and XZA+ versions.
