Genesis X Gran Berlinetta concept details

The Genesis brand’s distinctive Athletic Elegance design concept is most emotionally expressed in the 2024 X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept. Genesis’ enthusiasm and aim for the Vision Gran Turismo series is evident in the design research that gave rise to the Concept.

The volumes of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept are concentrated on the wheels and have a clean, powerful design language. Its design harmonises the backward proportions of the cab with the anti-wedge stance that is characteristic of the Genesis model line-up and is based on a virtually parabolical tensioned theory. With the driver and powertrain repositioned for a slim mid-engine configuration, the package design optimises the dash-to-axle ratio.

Powertrain details

The parameters of the concept were made public by the corporation, but the performance numbers that were promised are only going to be achieved virtually. With more power than any previous Korean model, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT pushes the boundaries of the hypercar class with 1,071 horsepower (799 kW / 1,086 PS) and peak torque of 986 lb-ft (1,337 Nm).
