The Project was rejected twice in the Past
According to the Senior Officers working under the Project, the entire plan would come around a cost of 1300-1400 crores. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation had earlier presented a plan to link Noida Sec-62 and the Sahibabad Station on a cost of around 1517 crore and also a second line which will link Vaishali Station with Mohan Nagar at a cost of around 1808 crores. But the state Government refused to give these funds in the month of January. They were again denied funds in the month of May, but this time they denied giving 50%.
More wait for Passengers till the plan gets a Green Signal
Meanwhile, by the time these schemes will be finally given a go ahead, the commuters will have to wait for some more time to avail the benefits of a shorter distance. Currently many commuters have to change the metro lines quite frequently in order to reach their destinations.
