The month of Sawan is considered sacred. Many fasts and festivals are celebrated in this month. The festival of Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11th August, tomorrow. According to the Hindu Panchag, every year on the third day of shukla paksha of the month of Shravan, hariyali teej, also known as Shravan Teej, is celebrated. The festival is celebrated on the occasion of the reunion of Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva.
On this day, Suhagin women do 16 embellishments and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. By observing this fast, women pray for their husbands a long life. Along with the puja, on this day, women come together and swing and sing the songs of Sawan. Mother Parvati had performed severe penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband, happy Lord Shiva accepted Mother Parvati as his wife on the day of Hariyali Teej.

The third date of shukla paksha of Shravan month will begin from 06.11 pm on Tuesday, 10th August. The third date will end at 04.56 pm on Wednesday, 11th August, 2021. Brahma Muhurat will be held from 04:24 am to 05:17 am and Vijaya Muhurat from 02:30 pm to 03:07 pm.
