Health Minister Satyendar Jain was quoted as saying by ANI that Delhi reported 4 new Omicron cases, taking the tally in the national capital to six, Delhi.
Talking about other states that have reported the new Covid-19 variant Omicron are Maharashtra (20), Gujarat (4), Rajasthan (9), Karnataka (3), Kerala (1) and Andhra Pradesh (1) and Union Territories of Delhi (2) and Chandigarh (1).

As per the Union Health ministry, in the last 24 hours ending December 14, India records 5,784 new Covid-19 cases and 252 deaths. With 7,995 recoveries, the total number of active cases in India have declined to 88,993, the lowest in 563 days.
Notably the Britain reported the first death of a person infected with the new Omicron variant of the Covid. The information was confirmed by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
