Centre points out flaws in fighting with COVID-19 strategy in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab

The central government has written to Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Punjab on the basis of the feedback of 50 high-level health teams sent to the states amid growing cases of Coronavirus in the country. The Center has informed about the shortcomings in overcoming infection of Covid-19.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan requested the health secretaries of the three states to implement the suggestions of the teams to investigate the sudden increase in Covid-19 cases.

Apart from Maharashtra, cases of corona virus have increased rapidly in Chhattisgarh and Punjab and record cases are coming out daily.

Central teams gave these suggestions regarding Maharashtra.

As per Hindustan Times report, central government teams have reported that at least eight districts of Maharashtra have testing corona virus, including Satara, Bhandara, Palghar, Amravati, Jalna, Nanded, Buldhana and Latur.

Teams said that a large number of cases of Covid-19 have been reported outside the Containment Zone in Bhandara district. After this, the Center suggested to strictly follow the rules of the state government’s Covid-19.

Second wave of corona-

Significantly, the second wave of Coron is taking dangerous form in India. The total number of infection cases increased to 1,33,58,805 with a record 1,52,879 new cases a day of Covid-19 in India, while the number of people currently being treated for the disease in the country started to be pandemic. It has since crossed the 11 lakh mark for the first time.

Central teams said, Korba, Durg and Balod districts of Chhattisgarh are facing lack of RT-PCR testing, due to which testing is taking longer.

According to the data shared by the central team, currently all the ICUs in these districts are filled in beds and the central team has suggested to the state government to help the district administration in improving the infrastructure of the hospital.

The Center’s team has said that Korba is facing a shortage of Remediesvir.

The central team also highlighted the lack of suitable behavior Behavior Covid-19 in Rajnandgaon. The team said that there is a shortage of health workers in Durg, Jashpur and Rajnandgaon districts.

The teams have expressed concern about the Containment Zone in Raipur and Jashpur. Central teams have recommended that teams vaccinating people in Balod and Korba districts need to undergo a refresher training course .
