In the last 24 hours, 13,154 new COVID-19 cases have been registered across the country, which is 43 percent more than Wednesday. Yesterday, more than 9 thousand cases were reported in the country. At the same time, 268 patients have died due to infection in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 4,80,860 patients have lost their lives. Meanwhile, the concern has deepened with the increase in the cases of Omicron variants.
The Health Ministry said on Thursday that the cases of Omicron variants have increased to 961 in the country. These cases have been reported from 22 states. At the same time, 320 patients have been cured of the new variant of Corona. Omicron has the highest number of cases in Delhi (263) and Mumbai (252).
With the increase in new cases of corona, active cases have also increased. At present, 82,402 patients are undergoing treatment for corona in the country. This is 0.24 percent of the total cases. At present, the recovery rate is 98.38%.
According to the Union Health, during the last 24 hours, 7,486 patients have been cured, whereas a total of 3,42,58,778 people have been able to recover from the infection so far. The daily positivity rate is 1.10 percent while the weekly positivity rate is 0.76 percent.
Talking about vaccination, 63,91,282 doses of vaccine have been given to people in the last 24 hours, while the total vaccination figure has reached 1,43,83,22,742.
