Covid-19: India records 5,676 cases in last 24 hours

The fast pace of corona virus infection in India is scaring people. According to the Health Department, 5,676 new cases of corona have been reported in India in the last 24 hours. During this, 21 infected people lost their lives from Corona. The total death toll from Covid has reached 53,10,000. At the same time, the number of recovered patients by defeating Covid has crossed 4 crore 42 lakh.

The total recovery rate is 98.73 percent. The death rate is 1.19 percent. So far 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in India.

In view of the increasing threat of Corona, on Monday (April 10), a mock drill was organized to take stock of the preparations of many government and private hospitals across the country. Mockdrill was also done in government hospitals of Delhi. The largest hospital LNJP was also included in this.

Wearing masks has been made mandatory in all government hospitals in Mumbai from Monday. The Health Ministry said that during the mockdrill, ministers and senior officials reviewed the preparedness and capabilities of the facilities in the hospitals.

In a review meeting held on 7 April, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had requested state health ministers to visit hospitals and inspect the preparations on 10 and 11 April. Along with this, the states and union territories were instructed to take appropriate steps for the prevention of Covid.

31 New patients in Noida

In view of the number of active patients of Covid-19 crossing 300 for the first time this year in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, adjacent to Delhi, the administration on Monday appealed to the residents of the district to take necessary precautions. The Health Department said that 31 new patients of Covid-19 have been found on April 10, however, out of these only 11 patients are admitted in hospitals.
