India on Saturday reported 29616 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours, pushing the total Covid-19 tally in the country to 3,36,24149, according to latest update by Ministry of health and family welfare.
Over 28,000 patients recovered in the same period and the total number of recoveries has climbed to 32,876,319. As many as 290 deaths due to the viral disease were reported on Saturday.
The national capital recorded zero deaths and 24 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday, with a positivity rate dropping to 0.03%, according to the data shared by state health department. Three fatalities due to the coronavirus infection were reported this month, one each on September 7, 16 and 17. The death toll in Delhi stands at 25,085.

Kerala, the state with most number of daily cases, reported 17,983 cases and 127 Covid deaths – the most number of deaths in a day in any state.
Maharashtra, which leads the states in overall cases, reported 3,286 cases and 52 Covid deaths in a day.
Karnataka reported 789 new cases and 23 Covid deaths.
Ladakh has recorded over five-fold increase in active Covid-19 cases in the last 10 days. On September 13, the number of active Covid cases in Ladakh was 30, including 28 in Leh and 2 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, 84.89 Crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
