COVID-19 Update: According to data from the Union health ministry, India saw 214 new coronavirus infections on Saturday, January 7, and there were slightly more active cases at 2,509 overall.
With this, the overall COVID-19 case count has increased to 4.46 billion (4,46,79,761).
The data updated at 8 am showed that four deaths — two reconciled by Kerala, one each reported from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh — occurred in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,30,718. The rate of everyday positive was 0.11 percent. The health ministry website states that the weekly positive rate was 0.12%.
Covid-19 Active Cases:
The ministry reported that the number of active cases is 0.01 percent of all infections, and that the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.80 percent. In the past 24 hours, there has been an increase of six cases in the caseload of COVID-19.
There are now 4,41,46,534 persons who have recovered from the illness. 1.19 percent was the reported case fatality rate.
Covid-19 Vaccination Update:
On the nation as a whole, the COVID-19 vaccine has been given out in doses totaling 220.13 crore, according to the ministry’s website. On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 total had reached 20 lakh, on August 23, it reached 30 lakh, on September 5 it reached 40 lakh, and on September 16 it reached 50 lakh.
It exceeded the 60 lakh milestone on September 28, the 70 lakh milestone on October 11, the 80 lakh milestone on October 29, the 90 lakh milestone on November 20, and the 1 crore milestone on December 19. On May 4, 2021, June 23, 2021, and January 25, 2021, respectively, India passed the depressing milestone of two crore, three crore, and four crore.
