India crossed the 41 lakh mark with 90,633 new cases. 41,13,812 cases, 8,62,320 are active infections, while 31,80,866 patients have already been discharged. As many as 1065 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the casualties in the country to 70,626.
India is closing in on Brazil for the second-highest caseload in the world. Brazil has 41.23 lakh cases. The United States, which has the highest infections globally, has reported over 6 million cases. This is the first time that India has reported over 90,000 new cases.

Maharashtra: 8,83,862 (includes recoveries, deaths and active cases)
Tamil Nadu: 4,57,697
Andhra Pradesh: 4,87,331
Karnataka: 3,89,232
Uttar Pradesh: 2,59,765
However Rajasthan, Health Department- 726 new COVID-19 cases and eight deaths have been reported today. The confirmed cases in the state have risen to 90,089, including 1,130 deaths and 73,382 recoveries. Active cases stand at 15,577.
Meanwhile till Sunday, there were 4,113,811 confirmed cases in the country and of them 862,320 were active while the toll has gone up to 70,626. Recoveries from the coronavirus disease have surpassed 3.1 million as a total of 3,180,865 people have been discharged.
